Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely output of planning drawings, stage one working drawings, final construction sets and on occasion new concept designs
- Check and approve timber framing layouts and structural steel documentation ready for publishing to construction.
- Work closely with selections and production estimation departments to ensure their mark ups are accurately represented on the drawings.
- Work closely with the construction manager and supervisors to develop/evolve our construction methodology, including the evolution of standard detailing to ensure the quality of our construction continues to evolve.
- Ensure a high level of quality controls are in place to ensure drawings are accurate, designed with an awareness of minimising unnecessary built form cost and comply with all governance bodies and construction practices
- Where required, facilitate design meetings with clients in collaboration with the sales team to help demonstrate/meet the needs of our clients, showcasing our design expertise and above all winning the clients confidence to proceed to build with Ellerston Homes.
- Liaise with local councils to gain relevant feedback/guidance in relation to proposed designs as part of undertaking a thorough due diligence, when and if necessary.
- Liaise in a professional and efficient manner with Ellerston Homes suppliers and/ or contractors.
- Ensure the strategic business objectives of Ellerston Homes are delivered
- Ensure all individual KPI’s are achieved or exceeded
- Ensure Ellerston Homes is 100% compliant in all aspects of legislative Work Health and Safety and take measures to ensure the safe work practice of yourself, other employees, our clients, contractors and suppliers.
- Implement adopted policy and process to support the company’s ‘Customer First’ philosophy; delivering excellence in service, experience and satisfaction for our customers.
- Providing a clean and tidy work station at all times
- Ensure compliance in using our operating system Site Book and maintain and complete all tasks in line with company expectations.
- Provide support to each team member and provide advice or relevant information if requested to staff and the construction team
- Your time management and organizational skills are imperative in producing timely and accurate results
- You will show initiative to continually develop your own personal skills and knowledgebase.
- Participate in a high-performance work culture
- Provide excellent communication skills, a high level of self-motivation and autonomy
- Ensure all phone messages are returned within 4 hours and emails within 24 hours.
