Your Voyage Ahead:


Data Pipeline Architecture and Development

• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture from multiple data sources.


• Build infrastructure for the efficient extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from a wide variety of sources.


• Assemble large, complex data sets to meet functional and non-functional business requirements.

Data Management and Process Improvement

• Develop and maintain data warehousing approaches, including data modeling and pipelining for storage and retrieval.


• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, such as:
  
  
  
  • Automating manual processes.
  
  
  • Optimizing data delivery.
  
  
  • Re-designing infrastructure for enhanced scalability.
  
  
  
  
  
  


• Ensure robust data validation and verification processes to guarantee accuracy for reporting purposes.

Data Security and Compliance

• Maintain data separation and security in adherence to best practice guidelines.


• Ensure data accuracy by liaising with other business functions when necessary.

Documentation and Communication

• Produce supporting documentation, including:

  • Relationships between data and other objects.

Cloud Technology and Innovation

• Stay updated with the latest advancements in cloud data technologies and implement them where applicable.
  

Data Exports and Integrations

• Provide data exports for customer verification and system integrations (e.g., OLP).


• Facilitate customer sunsetting with accurate data exports.


• Support documents migration and integration processes.

Data Analysis and Reporting

• Perform data mining and analysis to support decision-making and improve processes.
  
  

Recommended to bring on board: 


Data Engineering and Pipeline Development

• Expertise in building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines with SnapLogic for high-volume, high-dimensionality data from various sources as part of an automated workflow.


• Strong understanding of how data management, cleansing, and query optimization influence pipeline and data model design.

Database and Cloud Technology

• Experience working with both on-premises and cloud-based databases such as:
  
  • 
    MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Azure, Aurora MySQL, and others.
  
  
  
  


• Proficiency in using cloud technologies, with AWS preferred.

Programming and Scripting

• Experience with scripting languages like JavaScript or C#.


• Familiarity with technologies such as:
  
  • 
    AWS Glue, AWS RDS, AWS Aurora, AWS S3, Amazon Athena, Amazon EMR, PostgreSQL, Python, Bitbucket, Liquibase, Jenkins, Octopus (useful but not mandatory).
  
  
  
  

CI/CD and Infrastructure Knowledge

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD technologies and source control tools.


• Ability to apply infrastructure knowledge to develop and maintain efficient environments.

Data Visualization and Modeling

• Expertise in modeling datasets for use in visualization tools such as Power BI.


• Skilled in working with REST APIs to facilitate integrations and data flows.

Problem-Solving and Collaboration

• Demonstrable problem-solving skills to design and implement solutions to data challenges.


• Passionate about continuous improvement, collaboration, and knowledge sharing at all levels.

Stakeholder Management and Communication

• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.


• Ability to clearly present outputs to stakeholders in a concise and meaningful way.
