The Data Science Manager (Supply Chain) leads the development of advanced analytics and machine learning solutions to enhance supply chain operations, including forecasting, inventory, logistics, and production planning. - Defines and executes the data science roadmap for supply chain transformation, partnering with senior leaders across planning, procurement, and operations to identify high-impact analytics initiatives.
- Leads the development of predictive and prescriptive tools to enhance efficiency, service levels, and cost savings, while driving continuous improvement within the data analytics function.
- Leads and mentors a team of data scientists and analysts focused on supply chain initiatives, managing projects from problem definition to model deployment.
- Ensures timely and scalable integration of analytics models with existing planning systems such as SAP, Anaplan, and Snowflake.
- Oversees the development of machine learning models for forecasting, inventory optimization, supply planning, network modeling, and anomaly detection using advanced algorithms like time series, reinforcement learning, and optimization techniques.
- Ensures model accuracy, scalability, and sustainability through robust monitoring and continuous improvement practices.
- Collaborates with Business Technology, Data Engineering, and Planning/Logistics teams to ensure seamless data access and model deployment.
- Drives adoption of data science solutions by communicating business value clearly and promoting a culture of data-driven decision-making within the supply chain organization.
- A graduate of Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree in Data Science is preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in data science, with at least one (1) year in a managerial or leadership role.
- Experience in the food manufacturing or logistics/distribution industry is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI.
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis, data mining, and machine learning techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication skills, critical-thinking skills, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with ERP and supply chain management systems is a plus.
- Willing to work on a hybrid setup in Pasig or Laguna.
