Data Migration Lead

About the role

As the Data Migration Lead at Collabera Digital, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the successful migration of data from legacy systems to new platforms. This is a critical full-time role based in Makati City, Metro Manila, where your expertise will be essential in ensuring a seamless transition and the integrity of the company's data assets.

What you'll be doing

• Lead and oversee all aspects of data migration projects, including planning, execution, and post-migration validation.
• Develop and implement data migration strategies and best practices to ensure the successful and secure transfer of data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data migration requirements and develop comprehensive migration plans.
• Manage and coordinate the activities of the data migration team, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Ensure data integrity and security throughout the migration process, implementing appropriate measures to protect sensitive information.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any data migration issues that may arise during the migration process.
• Communicate with stakeholders to provide regular updates on the progress of data migration projects and address any concerns or questions.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience in leading data migration projects, with a strong understanding of data management principles and best practices.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
• Proficiency in data migration tools and technologies, as well as experience working with databases and data warehousing systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address data migration issues effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Technical Skills

· Data modelling and analysis techniques

· Design and develop data extract and load scripts.

· Validation of developed scripts.

· Good knowledge in Database especially SQL server, Oracle, and Cosmos DB (nice to have)

· Strong MS SQL and migration experience
