What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes across various cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and GCP to ensure seamless data flow.
• Implement scalable data warehouse solutions utilising Snowflake while transforming complex datasets with dbt for optimal performance.
• Create and optimise sophisticated data models using STAR schema and dimensional modelling techniques to support advanced analytics initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable and actionable data solutions tailored to organisational needs.
• Build and manage comprehensive data architectures that underpin high-performance analytics and reporting capabilities across the business.
• Ensure rigorous standards of data quality, consistency, and governance are maintained throughout all systems by implementing best practices.
• Contribute thoughtfully to technical decisions regarding cloud data infrastructure and tool selection in alignment with strategic objectives.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies in the data engineering landscape by continuously improving best practices within the team.
• Support analytics and business intelligence teams by providing well-structured datasets that enable insightful decision-making.

What You Bring

• A minimum of five years’ hands-on experience in Data Engineering or similar roles demonstrating deep technical proficiency.
• Proven ability working with major cloud platforms such as AWS (including S3, Glue, Redshift), Azure, and GCP for large-scale data management.
• Extensive experience implementing scalable solutions using Snowflake as well as transforming datasets with dbt for enhanced analytics.
• Solid understanding of STAR schema design principles along with dimensional modelling techniques relevant to modern warehousing concepts.
• Demonstrated success designing and deploying robust ETL/ELT pipelines capable of handling complex transformations at scale.
• Advanced SQL skills complemented by familiarity with scripting languages such as Python for automation tasks.
• Comprehensive grasp of core data architecture principles coupled with adherence to engineering best practices throughout project lifecycles.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities paired with meticulous attention to detail when addressing technical challenges or troubleshooting issues.
• Strong communication skills enabling effective collaboration with both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders alike.
