As a Credit Controller, you will:
- Monitor and manage outstanding customer debts and follow up on overdue invoices.
- Perform credit checks on new and existing customers.
- Assess creditworthiness and set up credit limits in line with company policy.
- Issue accurate and timely statements, reminders, and collection letters.
- Liaise with clients to resolve billing and payment issues professionally and promptly.
- Reconcile customer accounts and allocate payments accurately.
- Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to address account issues.
- Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status and credit risk exposure.
- Recommend accounts for legal action or write-off, when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and external regulations.
Non-negotiables
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2–3 years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or related roles.
- Proficiency in using accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Solid understanding of credit management principles and collection techniques.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
