Job Overview

As the Country Lead for the CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) Vertical, you will be the driving force behind the successful execution of our CPG strategy in Philippines. You will lead a dynamic team and collaborate closely with both local and regional eCommerce professionals. This role requires a seasoned leader with extensive experience in the CPG sector, a deep understanding of the eCommerce landscape, and the ability to drive business growth through innovative strategies and operational excellence.

In addition, you will leverage on advanced data insights and creative technologies, including Gen AI and automation, to scale and optimize, ensuring our CPG clients achieve unparalleled success in the digital space.

What Will You Do

Strategic Leadership:

  • Be an integral part of both the local and regional teams led by experienced eCommerce management professionals with over 15 years of experience in the CPG eCommerce or retailing sectors.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategic and operational plans for the CPG vertical, encompassing business consulting, marketing, store management, generative AI initiatives, content efficiency, and fulfillment operations.Align country-specific strategies with regional goals to ensure optimum target utilization and profitability for the country across all business units for CPG clients.
  • Manage CPG clients across all channels, including but not limited to marketplaces, social commerce, and direct-to-consumer (D2C) platforms, to drive customer engagement and strengthen brand loyalty.

Resource Management:

  • Oversee the management of all resources within the country, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization.
  • Lead the development and implementation of training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Ensure that all organizational resources are aligned with the business goals and are effectively supporting the execution of the strategic plan.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Manage relationships with both external and internal stakeholders at various levels, from C-suite executives to working teams across regional teams, brands, e-commerce platforms, and vendors.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication, and maintaining strong, collaborative partnerships.
  • Represent the organization in high-level discussions and negotiations with partners, ensuring the organization's interests are well-represented.

Innovative Leadership:

  • Demonstrate an innovative leadership approach to drive the achievement of business goals set by the organization, stakeholders, and corporate clients.
  • Lead the team by example, fostering a culture of innovation, creativity, and proactive problem-solving.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and continuously seek out new opportunities to enhance the organization's competitive edge in the CPG market.
  • Encourage and champion the team to integrate data driven content and experiment with new digital formats, such as interactive and immersive content, to engage consumers across various platforms.

Brand Health and Performance Optimization:

  • Communicate and optimize brand health metrics, executing improvement plans as needed to maintain or enhance brand performance.
  • Develop and deliver regular business reviews to CPG brands, providing insights and recommendations across all digital channels to drive growth and profitability.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to optimize performance across the CPG vertical.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to continually refine CPG strategies, ensuring alignment with consumer behavior, preferences and market trends .

Business Development and Accounts Management:

  • Lead overall business development efforts, identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies to grow accounts, increase profitability, and achieve successful target completion. Oversee basic accounting functions related to account management, ensuring financial accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and implement account growth strategies, fostering long-term relationships with key clients and partners to drive sustained success.
  • Expand the business by exploring new revenue streams, and multiple creative solutions tailored to CPG industry within e-commerce environment.

What skills and experience you will need?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in the CPG sector, with a strong focus on eCommerce and retail/ brand management.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop effective business strategies for corporate clients.
  • Innovative mindset with a passion for driving growth and achieving business objectives.

Preferably with experience in integrating creative technologies, automation, and analytics tools into strategies.
