Construction Estimator

About the Role

We have partnered with a well-established and privately-owned commercial construction company based in Sydney, with operations across New South Wales. Specializing in projects within education, corporate, retail, aged care/retirement living, and government sector.

As an Estimator, you will be working closely with the Senior Estimator Manager to deliver high-quality project estimates.

What you'll be working on

• Preparing initial estimating assessments for tenders.
• Performing trade breakups of documentation, selecting appropriate trade subcontractors, and liaising with subcontractors to ensure understanding of the required scope of works and timelines.
• Finalizing and presenting rated and coded Bills of Quantities and/or cost plans for internal review, and issuing relevant information to stakeholders.
• Comparing and analyzing subcontractor pricing.
• Communicating with clients, as required, to seek clarification on tender queries.
• Preparing and submitting tenders in collaboration with the Bid team.

What were looking for

• 3+ years of experience in estimating within multi-disciplinary construction projects.
• Proven high conversion rate and experience in delivering quality estimates.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
• A commitment to excellence, with experience and passion for the role.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
