JOB PURPOSE

Compliance Officer for Privacy (COP) is appointed to make sure that the company complies with the Data Privacy Act (DPA) and implements company's privacy, data management and data protection policies and programs. The COP shall assist the DPO & and the DP Organization in data privacy, data management, data protection and security related functions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures that proper data breach and security incident management controls are in place and are practiced. Must prepare monitoring reports, prepare related documentation, do submissions to the DPO, DP Organization, CLI Management and/or the NPC within the prescribed period
  • Cultivates awareness on privacy and data protection within CLI and its subsidiaries/affiliates.
  • Advocates and facilitates the development, review and/or revision and approval of policies, guidelines, procedures, projects and/or systems/programs relating to privacy and data protection, by adopting a privacy by design approach
  • Always coordinates with the DPO and/or the DP organization with regards to data subjects, the NPC and other authorities in all matters concerning data privacy or security issues or concerns
  • Always coordinates with the DBPO, the DP organization and/or the Breach Response Team with regards to reported privacy concerns, security incidents and breaches
  • Performs other duties and tasks that may be assigned by CLI that will further the interest of data privacy, security and uphold the rights of the data subjects
  • Implements improvements to increase effectiveness and efficiencies on data privacy related initiatives and monitoring activities

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 2-3 years experience in data privacy, compliance or IT security field
  • Professional certifications such as DPO, CIPP, CIPM, or CIPT are highly desirable
  • Excellent planning, time management and admin skills
  • Excellent communication, business writing and presentation skills
  • Excellent problem-solving, and teamwork skills
  • Has good interpersonal skills
