Compliance Officer (For Pooling)

The Compliance Officer plays a vital role in ensuring that the Company’s policies and practices are in line with

regulatory and ethical standards. This role requires a highly motivated individual with strong technical

knowledge and analytical skills for identifying compliance issues and providing recommendations for resolution.

The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks at a time is required.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Corporate Secretary and the company lawyer/s to ensure that transactions are
• supported by corporate and legal documents;
• Liaise with government agencies, consultants and lawyers on issues related to tax and compliance;
• Reviews and provides advice to the business upon request on matters concerning applicable contracts required for operation of the business.
• Keep the senior management informed of any changes in laws and regulations that may affect the company and take appropriate action if needed to ensure compliance.
• Identify and escalate (when necessary) potential compliance issues and provide sound recommendations for resolution and/or process improvement.
• Monitor the timely submission of statutory reports and other requirements;
• Maintain a database of corporate documents;
• Ensure that the Company is up to date with its licensing requirements
  
  

General

• Proactively identify and resolve issues and respond to internal customer escalations
• Ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting controls
• Maintain a high degree of discretion when treating sensitive or confidential information.
• Identify and recommend opportunities for policy and process improvements
• Participate in special projects as necessary
• Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or any business course
• Must have at least 2-3 years of experience with PEZA, BIR statutory filing and processing.
• Proficient in the use of various Microsoft Office applications
• Must have extensive knowledge on taxes and statutory reporting requirements.
• Must have the ability to work independently and take initiative to set priorities and see projects through to completion.
• A team player with strong interpersonal skills who can work across multiple functions.
• Must have strong organizational skills.
