The Compliance Associate will assist in ensuring the organization adheres to all internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of compliance practices, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards.
Job Description:
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of compliance programs, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines.
- Contribute to the planning and development of compliance programs by tracking regulatory changes and conducting research on specific policies.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and assessments to identify potential risks or violations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to compliance activities, including reports, findings, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with various departments to address compliance issues and ensure company-wide awareness of compliance policies.
- Stay up to date with industry regulations and best practices to ensure the organization is compliant with new laws and guidelines.
- Report any compliance breaches or incidents to senior compliance officers and work with them to address these concerns.
- Assist in the management of regulatory filings and maintain all required records in accordance with legal requirements.
- Conduct research on relevant regulatory changes and update the compliance team accordingly.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Finance, or any related field.
- 1 year of experience in a compliance role, preferably in a regulated industry such as finance.
- Basic understanding of compliance principles, regulations, and industry standards.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Initiative and self-motivation to stay informed about changes in compliance requirements.
