The Communications Team PMO is responsible for overseeing and managing the focused communications projects and initiatives for the team’s build up. This role requires a strong understanding of project management principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate and lead a team of professionals.
Responsibilities
Key projects:
- Process creation, process improvement, documentation
- Communications data, tools and channels review
- Project Management:
- Plan, execute, and oversee key communication projects from inception to completion.
- Develop and monitor project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of project milestones, collaborating with project owners.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.
- Team Coordination:
- Lead and coordinate the communications team and create a comprehensive RACI
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members.
- Ensure effective collaboration and communication within the team.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather project requirements and feedback.
- Provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the communications team and see opportunities for collaboration with other teams.
- Implement best practices and tools to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conduct post-project evaluations and lessons learned sessions.
- Proven experience in project management with understanding of the communications or marketing environment.
- A team player who can inspire the team to infuse process and data in their way of working
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
