- Design, develop, and maintain software applications using COBOL programming language.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop and execute unit tests and integration tests to ensure software quality and functionality.
- Troubleshoot and debug software issues, providing timely resolution to meet customer needs and specifications.
- Required Skill: Expert proficiency in COBOL programming language. Experience in IMS and DB2 is also a must.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software engineering principles.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- The candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in COBOL.
- The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in computer science or a related field, along with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software applications.
