Cloud Operations Engineer

Operations Deployment & Provisioning (ODP) is a global operations team at Oracle NetSuite, who’s responsible for managing infrastructure in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) for the NetSuite enterprise software. ODP manages infrastructure in regions across the globe with thousands of hosts covering Americas, APAC, and EMEA. We both provision and maintain the environments in OCI using highly scalable infrastructure-as-code technologies.

We are seeking a motivated operations engineer to fulfill the ODP Engineer role to contribute to our day-to-day infrastructure management deployments, including provisioning and maintaining OCI hosts.

Responsibilities:

• Problem solving, attention to details, security, and communication skills are required. Additionally, the ODP engineer will be engaged in the following activities:
• Collaborate with developers and engineers across the globe.
• Support multiple NSGBU global expansion initiatives in OCI.
• Support the Security and Service Reliability Teams mandates.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years provisioning Linux, SSH and DataCenter (OCI, AWS, Azure, etc.) technologies
• Solid experience in Terraform
• Knowledge of technology stacks: applications, networks, security lists, servers, storage, load balancers
• Skill troubleshooting, log review, and command understanding, coding logics
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Willing to report onsite 3x per week

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in Science or related work experience
• Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Knowledge of Terraform
• Knowledge of Saltstack
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence and repositories (BitBucket).
