Cloud Engineer

Performativ is a European fintech building secure, scalable infrastructure to power the next generation of wealth management. We're looking for a Cloud Engineer to lead key AWS architecture decisions, drive cost and security best practices, and enable developers to ship with confidence.

This is a builder’s role, perfect for someone who thrives on automation, clarity, and enabling others through clean, efficient infrastructure.

As our new Cloud Engineer, you will

• Design and maintain AWS infrastructure using CDK (TypeScript) with a focus on security, performance, and cost-efficiency.
• Apply the AWS Well-Architected Framework across security, reliability, operations, performance, and cost.
• Build reusable CDK constructs, define infrastructure standards, and enforce secure-by-default patterns.
• Drive cloud cost management through tagging, budgeting, usage forecasting, and anomaly detection.
• Coach developers on infrastructure best practices, CI/CD pipeline design, and DevSecOps fundamentals.
• Contribute to compliance and audit initiatives aligned with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and NIST CSF.
• Collaborate with AWS solution architects, auditors, and security partners as needed.
  
  

Technologies & Tooling We Use

You don’t need experience with all of these, we care more about mindset, fundamentals, and your ability to learn and build.

Core AWS services:

• Compute & Integration: Lambda, Fargate, Docker, Step Functions, EventBridge.
• Data & Storage: Aurora, DynamoDB, S3, ElastiCache.
• Networking: VPC, VPC Endpoints, Transit Gateway, VPN, PrivateLink, Route 53.
• Security & Governance: IAM, AWS Organizations, Security Hub, CloudTrail, AWS Config, AWS Backup.
• End User Computing: AWS Workspaces.
  
  

Identity & Access:

• Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) for SSO, federated access, and conditional access.
• Bonus: familiarity with tools like Intune, Defender, and endpoint/device compliance.
  
  

Infrastructure as Code:

• Primary: AWS CDK (TypeScript).
• Bonus: Terraform, GitHub Actions, container pipelines, and cost visibility tools.
  
  

We anticipate that you have / are

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps/AWS Cloud /Architect (Junior/Mid level).
• Proven track record of top academic performance in STEM/Computer Science or demonstrable success in open-source projects or portfolio.
• Excellent English skills.
• Goal-driven and looking for career growth.
• Work from home setup, Full time role (European time-CET).
