Lexis Nexis Legal and Professional operates a large platform for applications and services to legal professional across the globe. This role helps support all cloud Kubernetes implementations and containerized application. LexisNexis is on the leading edge of technology adoption and are leading the market with the adoption of AI systems driven by LLM technologies. This role supports critical customer applications that must be operational 24x7 with a 99.99% uptime goal. In this role, you will work closely with other engineers to support and migrate existing cloud infrastructure to standard Kubernetes architecture. You will be responsible for performing level 1 and level 2 support tasks and contributing to the ongoing improvement of our Kubernetes operations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and maintaining the health of Kubernetes clusters
  • Migrate existing cloud infrastructure to standard Kubernetes architecture
  • Triaging and resolving issues related to Kubernetes infrastructure, networking, storage and security
  • Apply Kubernetes best practices and automation techniques
  • Contribute to the documentation and knowledge-sharing efforts within the team
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand and support containerized applications
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks and upgrades on Kubernetes clusters
  • Assist with the implementation of Infrastructure as code (IaC) for Kubernetes clusters

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering.
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes concepts and containerization technologies (Docker, containerd)
  • Familiarity with the container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE)
  • Scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python)
  • Exposure to infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) is a plus
  • Experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting mindset
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies
