Job Purpose
Our Channel Development Manager is responsible in making sure we provide the best solution to our food business partners such as chefs and food Operators through our best-in-class brands . As the makers of Knorr, Lady’s Choice, Best Foods, and Carte d’or, we aim to collaborate and win with our operators as we engage in collaborative solution selling, Ideations, exploring creative recipes and profitability, therefore, growing both our businesses as we serve relevant dishes to our diners.
What Will Your Main Responsibilities Be
We are seeking a results-driven Channel Development Manager to lead and expand our partner network. This role is key to developing, managing, and optimizing channel strategies to drive sales growth, improve partner engagement, and strengthen SMMT’s market reach.
You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to identify opportunities, implement sales programs, and ensure our channel ecosystem thrives.

You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to identify opportunities, implement sales programs, and ensure our channel ecosystem thrives.
- Develop and execute channel development strategies to achieve sales and GTM KPIs. Achievement of agreed Sales target in terms of sales volume and value
- Monitor pricing and ensure application of correct prices at point of sales, implement standard of UFS selling and chefmanship skills
- Plan the routing to maximize time spent at point-of-sale Check and act immediately on Out of Stock
- Interact and negotiate with distributors, SMMT and help Pull counterparts achieve UFS goals
- Check assortment and act on availability of our brands
- Ensure shelf space in line with planograms. Introduce innovations within the set timeframe and maximize visibility. Ensure qualitative in-store presence of our brands. Negotiate local actions in line with company policies
- Sell in promotions and negotiate best available promo locations
- Targeting the right customers
- Identify, onboard, and manage strategic channel partners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive mutual growth.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and channel performance to identify new opportunities.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, culinary, capability and product teams to design partner programs and campaigns.
- Monitor partner performance and provide insights for continuous improvement.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
- Bachelor’s/College Degree, Economics, Business studies/Administration/Management, Marketing, Commerce, HRM or equivalent
- Has Culinary background (good to have)
- Is self Motivated, agile and Has passion for food
- High drive for learning and breakthrough thinking,
- Enjoys collaboration, creative work and winning with customers
- Must know how to drive and willing to do field work within the area
