About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Analyst with a strong accounting background and a background in the jewelry, mining, or manufacturing industry to join our team. As a Financial Analyst specializing in the jewelry sector, you will play a crucial role in analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and providing strategic insights to drive business growth and profitability.

Role Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data related to sales, costs, pricing, margins, and inventory within the jewelry industry to identify areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
• Develop financial models and forecasts to support decision-making processes and strategic planning initiatives.
• Create and maintain detailed cost structure models
• Provide detailed reporting on the diamonds and jewelry as they flow through the value chain.
• Develop and maintain financial models tying the diamond manufacturing process to final jewelry items.
• Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to the jewelry industry, such as inventory turnover, gross margin, and sales by product category.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for financial discrepancies to support management in making informed business decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including diamond cutting and polishing (manufacturing), cost structures, sales, marketing, and operations, to provide financial insights and recommendations for optimizing business performance.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, including revenue projections, expense planning, and cash flow analysis.
• Prepare financial reports, presentations, and ad-hoc analyses for senior management and key stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape within the jewelry sector to provide valuable insights and recommendations.
  
  

Requirements

• Has at least 2 - 3 years of experience as a Financial Analyst in the jewelry industry or related field.
• Has proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and other financial software/tools.
• Bachelor's degree in, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of jewelry industry trends, market dynamics, and key performance metrics is highly desirable.
