Job Description

We seek a dynamic and organized Catering Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our catering operations, you will oversee the planning, execution, and coordination of catering events, ensuring flawless execution and exceptional client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Event Planning and Coordination:

• Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and preferences.
• Develop detailed event plans, including menu planning, staffing, and equipment requirements.
• Coordinate with the culinary team to ensure timely and accurate food preparation.
• Oversee event setup, service, and breakdown.
• Manage event budgets and ensure profitability.

Team Leadership:

• Recruit, hire, and train catering staff.
• Develop and implement effective staff schedules to optimize coverage and productivity.
• Provide ongoing supervision, coaching, and performance evaluations to staff.
• Foster a positive and supportive work environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
• Monitor food safety and sanitation practices.
• Address any client concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve catering services and operations.

Administrative Tasks:

• Manage catering contracts, invoices, and payments.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of supplies.
• Maintain accurate records of catering events and performance metrics.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in catering or food service management.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Food safety certification is preferred.
