Role Purpose
The Business Intelligence Analyst transforms data into actionable insights by developing reports, dashboards, and data models that support strategic and operational decision-making. This role ensures data accuracy, drives business performance through analytics, and empowers stakeholders with accessible, self-service intelligence tools.
Key Accountabilities
Execute the design, development, testing, and optimization of data pipelines, data models, and BI reports to meet business and technical requirements in alignment with BI best practices.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data by performing validation checks and identifying trends or anomalies in reporting outputs.
Investigate and resolve issues related to data extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), and visualization, working cross-functionally with data engineering and technology teams as needed.
Design, publish, and maintain self-service dashboards and standardized reports for both regional and global teams, supporting scalable and efficient access to business insights.
Deliver timely ad hoc reporting and insights based on stakeholder needs, using appropriate BI tools and techniques to answer specific business questions.
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and functional teams to translate business objectives into technical specifications, ensuring BI solutions are aligned and actionable.
Maintain strong partnerships with business support leads and domain experts to stay informed of evolving needs, priorities, and performance metrics.
Prepare clear, compelling visualizations—charts, tables, and graphs—that communicate trends, insights, and recommendations in a timely and digestible format.
Key Skills & Experiences
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Marketing, and other related field of studies (Information Technology, Operations Research) or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
Minimum university degree and 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
Experience:
0-3 years progressive work-related experience working with relational decision-support databases and analytical consulting with demonstrated proficiency and understanding in one or more functions related to the position.
Technical Skills and Knowledge:
Demonstrated computing, statistical and database reporting skills
Having programming experience with statistical, cloud environment and database software is a plus.
The tools may not be limited to SQL Server, Adobe Analytics, SAS, Business Objects, Tableau, Salesforce, Python, Google Cloud Platform, and R.
Demonstrates analytical, problem solving and collaborative skills.
Demonstrates clear, concise, and succinct communication skills, including adapting both technical verbal and written communication to the needs and level of the user.
Demonstrated knowledge of Visual Basic scripting techniques, Microsoft Access and Excel functionality to include the use of macros to streamline report-publishing process.
Experience on Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
Requires broad knowledge of theory and principles within a specific professional discipline.
Applies subject matter knowledge under close supervision.
