Primary Job Responsibility
Accountable for increasing market share and achievement of Sales Target through acquisition and retention of identified and targeted corporate accounts. Engages in targeting identified corporate accounts from assigned areas, brokers and agents.
Responsible for planning, organizing, managing, and controlling their respective departments or units; helps establish objectives and strategies to ensure Corporate and Departmental business plans and Quality objectives are met; and
Organizes value-adding activities; allocates adequate resources that contribute to achieving targeted goals; implements controls to manage risks and ensure compliance. Manages direct reports and utilizes metrics to assess their actual performance; institutes specific developmental interventions to bridge performance gaps; and/or implement disciplinary measures based on consequences.
Job Description
Manages the day-to-day activities of Team in generating sales revenues from New Business Acquisition and Business Retention through and efficient and effective management of the in-house sales force
Reviews and ensures the Team's strict compliance to defined processes in securing and closing an account
Reviews and approves or disapproves proposals submitted by Team within limits of approved actuarial rates
Reviews and endorses to Immediate Superior the pricing, benefits packages, etc. recommended by the team to ensure closure/renewal of account
Plans, monitors and reviews implementation of Strategic Acquisition/ Retention Programs for the Client
Reviews and escalates or endorses recommendation to Immediate Superior regarding any concern related to the accounts
Reviews and ensures completeness of all submitted documents of new closed accounts from Team before endorsement to Actuarial, QRFT, Underwriting and Account Management Support Team
Plans, monitors and evaluates performance of Team in the achievement of the sales target and identified KRAs and KPIs; ensures the Team's compliance to the primary deliverables, company and departmental policies and procedures
Reviews performance and conducts coaching, mentoring or meetings to improve on competency gaps of the Team
Collaborates with the Account Management Support Team and other Department Heads to discuss operational concerns
Reviews and endorses for approval the application for leaves, overtime, cash-related transactions, business correspondences, and reimbursements of transportation expenses
Reviews approves or disapproved recommended status of closed accounts through the C4C system

- Researches and gathers baseline information on companies per assigned area, brokers and agents
- Collates data, analyzes, prepares sales forecast and creates budget for submission to Immediate Superior for lead generation
- Reviews and develops Project Plans based on assigned areas, agents and brokers for saturation; identify new market
- Reviews and recommends approval to Immediate Superior proposed strategies and activities to acquire or retain an account.
- Participates during meetings, presentations and negotiations depending on the size and sensitivity of accounts
- Collaborates with Team and co-Managers in planning for new projects
- Collaborates with concerned parties for the immediate resolution or response to complaints as elevated by the Team
- Cascades and updates the Team on any new internal policies and guidelines
- Gathers data, analyzes and prepares report for the Immediate Superior on any updates related to the industry market and competitor intelligence
