Description
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with expertise in managing finances for travel agencies. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate record-keeping, manage transactions, and support the agency’s financial operations with precision and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile financial records, including accounts payable/receivable and the general ledger.
- Process invoices, payments, and refunds efficiently.
- Handle payroll, taxes, and compliance with financial regulations.
- Manage travel-related financial activities such as commissions, bookings, and cancellations.
- Generate financial reports, including balance sheets and cash flow statements.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and customers regarding payments.
- Collaborate with management to provide financial insights and recommendations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of bookkeeping experience
- Must have an experienced working with the travel or tourism industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of travel-specific financial processes (e.g., commissions, cancellations).
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of local tax regulations and compliance is a plus.
