What are we looking for?
Skills Required:
- 3-5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Strong proficiency in Xero and familiarity with other accounting software like MYOB or QuickBooks.
- Solid understanding of Australian accounting standards and regulations.
- Excellent data entry skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
- Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
What will you do?
- Bank Reconciliations: Reconcile bank accounts regularly, identifying discrepancies, and resolving issues promptly to ensure financial accuracy.
- Accounts Payable: Process bills and invoices with precision, ensuring timely payments to vendors and maintaining accurate data within the accounting system (Xero, MYOB).
- Month-End Close: Assist with month-end close activities, including preparing workpapers, generating financial reports, and ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded.
- Support Finance Team: Collaborate with other finance team members to support various accounting tasks and projects, providing insights and suggestions for financial management.
- Data Entry: Maintain meticulous records and ensure data accuracy in all aspects of bookkeeping tasks, including journal entries and ledger maintenance.
- Client Interaction: Communicate with clients as needed to gather information, clarify discrepancies, and provide exceptional service in managing their accounts.
