Financial Reporting, Compliance & Close
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements and reporting to international parent entities.
- Ensure compliance with AASB, IFRS, and internal accounting policies.
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Complete general ledger reconciliations, including complex accounts.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and anomalies.
- Prepare supporting schedules for Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reporting.
- Assist with the preparation and lodgment of BAS, FBT, GST, and income tax returns.
- Support tax compliance by maintaining accurate records and preparing documentation for internal and external review
- Contribute to tax planning activities by providing financial data and analysis to support strategic decisions
- Support external audit processes by preparing audit schedules and documentation.
- Liaise with auditors and tax advisors as required.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and support automation initiatives.
- Support daily cash flow monitoring and ensure accurate reporting of liquidity positions.
- Perform and review bank reconciliations across multiple entities and accounts.
- Execute and reconcile banking transactions including payments, transfers, and receipts.
- Contribute to treasury reporting including cash flow statements and funding summaries.
- Support the implementation and optimisation of treasury systems and tools. This includes supporting SAP and other financial systems.
- Adhere to internal controls and risk management practices.
- Ensure compliance with internal audit and governance standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial information.
- Work collaboratively with the Reporting Manager and finance team.
- Provide support and guidance to junior team members where appropriate.
- Participate in training and development activities.
- Promote a safe and inclusive work environment by maintaining safe systems of work and equipment.
- Foster a positive team culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Engage in regular communication with team members on Work Health and Safety (WHS) matters.
