Job Summary
- Supports the Account Officers with the credit processing including verification and underwriting
- of both simple and more complex Auto Loan applications requiring Committee approvals.
- Ensures that loan accounts are approved in adherence with prescribed policies and procedures
- and in support to credit objectives of the bank.
- Given his experience in consumer loan underwriting, he gives insights and
- recommendations on the Bank's credit policies and procedures. The incumbent shall ensure
- operating standards, policies and procedures are complied with.
- With delegation approval, the Auto Loans Credit Officer renders judgment on loans processed,
- while providing analytical, detail oriented support for ensuring accuracy and consistency of
- underwriting and documentation quality for all loan requests prior to loan booking.
- Possesses skills at data gathering and probing, and is able to perform diligent investigation.
- Safeguards the Bank's interest thru prudent approval of Auto loan applications, including
- maintaining asset quality where evaluation of the collateral is measured against the credit risk
- associated with it. Has the aptitude to seek acceptable and appropriate justifications to credit
- exceptions cited.
- Ensures data integrity through accurate encoding of credit decisions into the system.
- Warrants accurate and timely preparation of required reports.
- Ensures all stipulated operating guidelines of CMG operations and the general procedures
- and guidelines laid down by the Bank are strictly adhered to.
- Adheres and complies with all applicable regulatory policies and procedures governing
- banks.
- Possesses a detailed working knowledge of the bank's credit policies and procedures.
- Keeps abreast of updates on the Bank and BSP policies as stipulated in the Money
- Laundering and Terrorist Financing Prevention Program (MLPP) through circulars, required
- seminars/programs and adheres to said policies
- Performs special projects as assigned
- At least 2 years experience in credit or underwriting of
- Auto Loans. Preferably with exposure in processing
- other consumer loan products.
- Well-versed in Bank's policies and procedures, good
- communication skills, ability to draw out information
- during credit investigation
- With relevant experience involving consumer loan
- products and/or other bank loan operations
