AU Tax Accountant

The Accountant will be responsible for a range of tasks to help deliver Business Services work requirements to the client. The core focus is to provide high quality work in a timely manner to a broad portfolio of clients.

About the Role

• Apply broad skillset across data and analytics to understand business problems, create insights and provide practical solutions
• Prepare financial statements
• Prepare tax returns for all entities
• Prepare Business and Instalment Activity Statements
• Quarterly and annual tax compliance matters
• Involvement with tax planning for clients
• Liaising with the ATO
• Other ad hoc accounting and administration tasks as required
  
  

What we are looking for

The role will suit an experienced accountant who is looking for the next step in their Australian accounting professional career. Additionally, the successful candidate will have:

• At least three (3) years of experience as an offshore accountant with an Australian accounting firm
• Experience in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, APS, Handisoft or equivalent Australian tax compliance software
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills for communicating with our Australian professional staff and clients
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective task and time management skills, awareness of job budgets and productivity targets
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
• A positive attitude and the desire to contribute to a high performing team
• Self-starter with accountability for both personal and professional development
