Salary: P80,000-P100,000 (Monthly Package)

Schedule: Monday – Friday (06:00 AM - 03:00 PM AEST)

What are we looking for?

Skills Required

  • 3-5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably within a professional services environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Xero and familiarity with other accounting software like MYOB or QuickBooks.
  • Solid understanding of Australian accounting standards and regulations.
  • Excellent data entry skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.

Nice To Have

  • Experience in a team lead or supervisory role, with the ability to mentor and train junior staff.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based accounting and productivity tools.
  • Experience managing and training offshore staff, ensuring seamless integration into the accounting team.
  • Demonstrated ability to streamline and optimize accounting processes.

What will you do?

  • Bank Reconciliations: Reconcile bank accounts regularly, identifying discrepancies, and resolving issues promptly to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Accounts Payable: Process bills and invoices with precision, ensuring timely payments to vendors and maintaining accurate data within the accounting system (Xero, MYOB).
  • Month-End Close: Assist with month-end close activities, including preparing workpapers, generating financial reports, and ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded.
  • Process Improvement: Actively contribute to the documentation and improvement of accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support Finance Team: Collaborate with other finance team members to support various accounting tasks and projects, providing insights and suggestions for financial management.
  • Data Entry: Maintain meticulous records and ensure data accuracy in all aspects of bookkeeping tasks, including journal entries and ledger maintenance.
  • Team Leadership Potential: As the role grows, take on responsibilities to lead and manage new offshore staff, providing training, guidance, and ensuring adherence to established accounting practices.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate with clients as needed to gather information, clarify discrepancies, and provide exceptional service in managing their accounts.
  • Compliance: Ensure all bookkeeping practices comply with Australian accounting standards and regulations, staying up-to-date with changes in legislation.
