JOB PURPOSE: Review and Analyze Current Operations to Provide Data Driven Insights Related to Business Performance of the Companies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordination between departments and understanding the business processes;
  • Evaluate information from multiple sources, convert information into details and abstract low-level information to a more general understanding;
  • Provide data driven insights related to business performance used in developing strategies for operational improvements;
    • Monthly Effective Rate
    • Weekly Generated Revenue
    • Power Plant Outage Impact on Revenue
    • Replacement Power Report
    • Competitors Average Selling Rate for Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao
    • Analyze and review key business metrics and recommend plans for enhancement;
    • Coal Power Plants Dispatched Optimization
    • Power Plants Weekly Coal Consumption
    • Coal Price in the Market
    • Power Plants Average Weekly Consumption Rate


    5. Research, Monitor and study the parameters on fuel based generators and provide Monthly report.

    • Monitor market prices for Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao Grids.
    • Keeping track of the revenue stream based on actual operations of the wholesale and retail business and prepare report every month.
    • Prepare reports using alternative views, such as analysis models (diagrams), prototypes or scenario building.
    • Gather, analyze and interpret external and internal data on power rates taken from public websites and write reports.


    10. Maintain documentation regarding various reports, processes and operations of the department.

    SPECIFICATIONS
  • EDUCATION:
    • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Finance or Other Business Related Course
    • Preferably With Masters Degree in Business or Related to Energy.


2. EXPERIENCE:

  • At Least 5 Years of Relevant Experience in the Philippine Power Industry;
  • General Grasp on the Key Connection Across Various Government and Private Institutions in the Philippine Power Industry;
  • Understanding of the Philippine Electricity Spot Market, Power System Operation and Power System Load Flow Analysis;
  • Extensive Knowledge in The Power Plant Operation and Dispatch Specifically Coal Power Plant.


SKILLS:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders to support proposed strategies, process improvements and operational suggestions;
  • Skills for talking with individuals and groups about their needs and ask the effective questions to surface essential requirements information;
  • Familiarity with the power industry's various technologies;
  • Resourcefulness and ability to devise creative solutions to problems;
  • Thorough understanding of diverse business processes and strategy development;
  • Knowledge of MS Office, databases and information systems;
  • Good understanding of research methods and data analysis techniques;
  • Capable to work with and through people to establish goals, objectives, and action plans.
