The Communications team at Grab is dedicated to sharing Grab's story with the world. Whether engaging with media, online influencers, industry commentators, thought leaders, or the broader community, our team represents the voice of Grab, shaping the brand's narrative and building its reputation.

Get to Know the Role

As the Assistant Manager of Public Relations in the Philippines, you will drive proactive public relations campaigns to enhance and protect Grab's brand and reputation. Your efforts will reinforce Grab's position as the leading everyday super app and ensure that our brand is relatable to customers. You'll lead initiatives that align with our vision and business goals, engaging with key stakeholders to create compelling narratives.

You will report directly to the Senior Manager of Public Relations, with a hybrid work arrangement with the office located in Ortigas, Pasig City.

The Critical Tasks You will Perform

You Will

  • Create and Implement PR Programs: Develop and manage public relations programs that align with the company's vision and business objectives.
  • Promote Stories and Publicity Opportunities: Actively seek and promote stories to attract positive publicity for Grab.
  • Manage Media and Influencer Advocacy: Oversee media and influencer engagement to build stronger advocacy for Grab.
  • Create Multi-format Content: Craft various content formats for stakeholders, including executives, media, and influencers.
  • Issue and Crisis Management: Identify and manage potential issues and crises to mitigate impact on Grab's brand.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong working relationships with Grab's business stakeholders and management, managing their public profiles.
  • PR Agency Management: Oversee the PR agency's activities, ensuring alignment with budget and business requirements.
  • Metrics Analysis: Analyze metrics to determine the effectiveness of PR activities and leverage data for strategic planning.

Qualifications

What Skills You will Need

  • Public Relations Expertise: Approximately 8+ years of experience in public relations, with both corporate and consumer PR preferred.
  • Storytelling Skills: Proven ability to create and promote stories that align with the business objectives and attract positive publicity.
  • Influencer Engagement: Experience in managing media and influencer relationships to build strong advocacy.
  • Content Creation: Experienced in creating multi-format content tailored to various stakeholders.
  • Crisis Management: Adept at anticipating and managing issues and crises to protect the brand.
  • Relationship Building: Strong ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Agency Management: Experience managing PR agencies, with the ability to ensure projects meet budget and business requirements.
  • Metrics Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing PR performance data to guide planning and strategy.
