The Assistant HR Manager will play a key role in supporting the organization's efforts to attract, retain, and motivate talent. This position will be responsible for administering and contributing to the design of competitive compensation and benefits programs, while also driving initiatives to enhance employee engagement and foster a positive and productive work environment. The ideal candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented, possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, and have a passion for creating a rewarding and engaging employee experience.

Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Administer the organization's compensation programs, including salary structures, job evaluations, merit increases, and bonus plans.
  • Manage the employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, and other employee perks.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding compensation and benefits, providing clear and accurate information.
  • Process payroll-related information and collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Manage vendor relationships related to benefits administration.
  • Prepare and analyze compensation and benefits reports for management review.
  • Assist in the development and execution of employee engagement strategies and initiatives to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Support the implementation of employee feedback mechanisms, such as surveys, focus groups, and individual discussions, to identify areas for improvement in employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with other HR functions and departments to implement action plans based on employee feedback.
  • Organize and participate in employee engagement activities, events, and programs.
  • Monitor and track employee engagement metrics, analyze results, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate effectively with other HR team members and departments to ensure seamless HR operations.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with employees at all levels regarding compensation, benefits, and engagement programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive HR experience with a strong focus on total rewards (compensation and benefits) and employee engagement.
  • Solid understanding of compensation and benefits principles, practices, and relevant Philippine labor laws.
  • Experience in conducting job evaluations and participating in salary surveys.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing employee engagement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
