Location/Division Specific Information
Our Laboratory Services team directly impacts patient health through the expertise of scientists, industry thought leaders, and therapeutic authorities. As the world leader in serving science, our laboratory professionals are dedicated to accuracy and quality, delivering groundbreaking innovations.
Impactful Work:
In collaboration with the Lead Application Developer and Development Manager, this role provides systems support, analysis, development, and testing for mid-sized to large information systems. The primary responsibility involves delivering business support and resolving issues logged in the company ticketing system. Additionally, this role assists the Senior Application Developer in working closely with the business to outline system requirements and compose comprehensive system build specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop SQL scripts for data modifications.
- Perform system testing and testing automation.
- Work with Operations groups in the deployment and implementation of the system.
- Provide ongoing support for the application, coordinating with the Help Desk group.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in applications development, testing, and/or support in a client/server environment or specializing in applications technology.
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience with at least 2 of the following software languages or packages: MS Access, Visual Basic, PL/SQL, Pronexus VBVoice, Crystal Reports, document management (e.g., electronic publishing, submission, or imaging), or internet development tools.
- Experience with Docker and R Studio is preferred but not required.
- Client-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills.
