Accounting Supervisor

The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department. This role ensures the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, compliance with Philippine tax regulations, and preparation of financial reports. It requires strong analytical skills, leadership capabilities, and a solid understanding of local accounting standards to effectively guide the accounting team and support organizational objectives.

Work Setup: Hybrid – 3x/week

Work Location: Makati

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the accounting department (AP, AR, GL, payroll, etc.)
• Review and approve disbursements, customer invoices, bank reconciliations, and journal entries
• Oversee the preparation and timely filing of government-mandated reports (e.g., BIR forms 1601C,1601EQ, 2550Q, 1701Q, etc.)
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure proper documentation is in place
• Monitor internal controls and suggest improvements where needed
• Mentor, train, and evaluate accounting staff/officers
• Assist in the preparation of Financial Statements
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Participate in management meetings to provide financial insights and updates
• Perform other tasks as may be assigned by the CFO

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or equivalent; Non-CPAs are welcome to apply
