The Accounting Operations Team Leader position at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. offers an exceptional opportunity to work in the expanding Thermo Fisher Scientific Shared Services. In this role, you will lead a team of Accounting Operations specialists, analysts, and assistants, ensuring flawless monthly US GAAP Intercompany reporting. You will be responsible for driving a performance and customer-first culture, delivering operational excellence, and successfully implementing process improvement initiatives. As a proven leader, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the company's ambitious goals.


Responsibilities:


  • Supervise, coach, and develop a team of Accounting Operations Specialists, Analysts, and Assistants
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of operational finance activities
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and implement SOX control measures
  • Provide insights on business performance through metrics
  • Drive operational excellence through strong organizational skills and effective resource management
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and participate in ad-hoc projects


Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:


  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a RtR Operational Accounting Specialist role, or equivalent
  • 3 years of leadership experience
  • Deep operational accounting process knowledge and a high level of proactivity to drive continuous improvement
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work well under time constraints
  • Experience handling intercompany process, preferred but not require
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Excel
  • Fluent in English
