Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare monthly closing schedules to ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Generate the Inventory Aging Report to monitor stock turnover and manage inventory effectively.

Cost Management:

  • Update the Costing File based on production reports from logistics.
  • Prepare Sales and Cost of Sales (COS) schedules, comparing COS per SAP with the costing file.
  • Analyze and report on landed costs to assess total expenses associated with product acquisition.

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain an accurate inventory listing for KTM to facilitate inventory tracking and management.

Bank Reconciliation:

  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations, utilizing the daily cash report from Abi for accuracy.

Additional Accounting Support:

  • Address various accounting requests from the finance team, including support for TIMTA, PEZA, BIR audits, and other inquiries as needed.

Qualifications:

Knowledge:

  • Proficient in finance, accounting, taxation, and cost control procedures.
  • Experienced in the preparation of statutory financial reports.
  • Familiar with local tax compliance requirements and insurance accounting practices.

Skills:

  • Strong business acumen, particularly in life insurance and asset management sectors.
  • Excellent analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Customer-focused, organized, results-oriented, and self-motivated; capable of working independently.
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude, able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Effective at managing multiple priorities under time constraints and delivery pressures.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Frequent communication with internal stakeholders, including senior management, sales, operations, and cross-departmental teams, to foster collaboration and achieve business objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with auditors, tax consultants, taxation authorities, the Insurance Commission, and other regulators as needed for statutory audits and tax filings.

Other Relevant Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Finance.
  • Licensed Accountant
  • 4-5 years of relevant experience in General, Audit, and Tax Accounting, with at least 3 years in the insurance, banking, or audit industry; proven track record in leading a finance team.
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Laguna.
