A CPA designation and a strong background in the retail or similar industry are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the accounting department in managing general accounting, taxation, and financial reporting functions.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee compliance with all Philippine regulatory requirements including SEC, BIR, DOLE, BOC, and PEZA.
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Review and implement internal controls to safeguard the company's financial assets.
- Coordinate with external auditors and ensure audit requirements are met.
- Monitor companys financial status and identify areas for improvement.
- Utilize accounting systems (preferably SAP) and Excel to generate accurate financial reports and analyses.
- Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Accounting and Tax, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role
- Strong understanding of Philippine financial regulations (SEC, BIR, DOLE, BOC, PEZA, etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (preferably SAP)
- Experience in the retail industry or a similar sector is a must
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
