Accountant II
Job Summary
The Accountant II is responsible for supporting the accounting and finance team in maintaining accurate and complete financial records. The role focuses on account reconciliations, transaction reviews, and general ledger maintenance to ensure data integrity and compliance with accounting standards. This position provides exposure to financial reporting, audits, and month-end close activities, offering opportunities to build foundational accounting experience and support operational efficiency across financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily and monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Review, verify, and post financial transactions in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances identified during reconciliation or reporting.
- Prepare journal entries and assist in month-end and year-end close activities.
- Collaborate with payment processing and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support schedules for internal and external audits.
- Support the maintenance and analysis of general ledger accounts, ensuring proper classification of financial data.
- Assist in generating financial reports and summaries as needed by management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable accounting regulations.
- Participate in special projects or other accounting functions as assigned to support the department’s objectives.
Screening Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in accounting or general ledger operations.
- Must have a stable employment history.
Required Qualifications
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP for data analysis and reporting.
- Background in accounting principles and reconciliation procedures.
- Ability to perform accounting tasks accurately and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with financial reporting systems or ERP platforms is an advantage.
- Exposure to audit processes and month-end close procedures preferred.
- Strong adaptability and eagerness to learn new accounting systems and tools.
Work Schedule
10:00 PM – 7:00 AM PHT, Monday to Friday
