About the role

Reporting into the Finance Manager, this full-time Accountant position at Dover Cafe offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the financial operations of a growing and successful café business located in San Fernando Pampanga. As the Accountant, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial accounting and reporting services that support the overall strategic objectives of the company.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and analysing financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Maintaining accurate records of all financial transactions and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
• Performing month-end and year-end closings, reconciliations, and other accounting tasks
• Supporting the Finance Manager in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Providing financial analysis and insights to help inform business decisions
• Assisting with tax preparation and compliance
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and contributing to the development of accounting policies and procedures

What we're looking for

• Degree in Accounting or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably in the food and beverage industry
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, standards, and best practices
• Proficient in using financial software and spreadsheet applications
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs
