Strategic Sourcing Specialist – Purchasing

About the Role

We are looking for a results-driven Strategic Sourcing Specialist to lead commodity sourcing strategies across key categories such as plastics, metals, and electrical components within a manufacturing environment.

This role is critical in driving cost competitiveness, supplier performance, and supply continuity, while supporting the company’s long-term business and product innovation goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing & Commodity Management
• Develop and implement commodity sourcing strategies based on market intelligence and business needs
• Conduct market analysis, supplier mapping, and commercial risk assessment
• Support long-term category plans for product transitions, outsourcing, and contract manufacturing

Supplier Management & Performance

• Lead supplier accreditation, qualification, and onboarding
• Conduct supplier performance evaluation (annual/bi-annual) and drive continuous improvement
• Build strong supplier relationships to achieve world-class performance standards
• Negotiation & Contract Management
• Lead contract negotiations and sourcing activities to ensure value-for-money outcomes
• Establish and review supply agreements aligned with company goals
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and monitor savings performance
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Business Units on sourcing strategies
• Support procurement planning aligned with production and project requirements
• Market Intelligence & Risk Management
• Analyze supply markets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Ensure supply continuity and mitigate sourcing risks

• Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• At least 3–5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or buying
• Experience in manufacturing, HVAC, or industrial environment is highly preferred
