The Opportunity

Are you excited about being part of an opportunity to be at the forefront of transformation, innovation and service excellence for our U.S. Retirement business? Then we would love to have you join our FutureChoice Retirement Services Team as Payroll Specialist . You will help to shape a new retirement recordkeeping and operations ecosystem including the complimentary tenets of people, process, technology, and data. You will be instrumental in evolving a new culture focused on efficiently servicing, transforming, and growing our U.S. Retirement business while maintaining our reputation for service excellence.

As the operating model and service delivery continue to mature, the scope of the role is expected to expand, offering broader exposure to client service and business partner delivery and creating opportunities for increasing involvement in the end-to-end client experience over time.

Responsibilities

  • Paivities and ensuring continuity in service.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather plan details, define payroll requirements, and manage timelines across implementation and project lifecycles
  • Support payroll implementation and in-force activities, including setup of payroll feeds and system integrations with recordkeeping platforms
  • Assist in payroll data validation and testing to ensure accuracy and integrity through implementation and go-live
  • Proactively identify and help resolve payroll errors, exceptions, and risks by coordinating with cross-functional teams
  • Provide operational support to internal partners (PIMs, CSMs, DIS) in line with evolving business priorities
  • Participate in implementation and conversion projects, fostering strong collaboration to ensure smooth transitions and delivery
  • Support escalations, complex payroll inquiries, and post-transition stabilization to ensure continuity and service quality for live clients
  • Contribute to process improvement, documentation, training, and development of payroll/retirement plan expertise to drive efficiency and business outcomes
  • Perform additional duties as required to support evolving FutureChoice business needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 1-2 years relevant back-office experience preferred (e.g. 401K/Pension plan payroll administration, document processing, administrative support)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with web browsers and common business applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 401k / Retirement plan services experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Omni, Decisions.com, Salesforce will be an asset
  • Post-secondary education in business, finance, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
