Role Overview

The IT Head is responsible for leading the organization’s overall technology operations, enterprise systems, infrastructure, and digital transformation initiatives across multiple business units and sites. This senior leadership role ensures that IT strategies, platforms, and services effectively support business growth, operational excellence, customer experience, and long-term innovation objectives.

The role oversees enterprise applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, IT service delivery, vendor management, and technology modernization while ensuring high availability, scalability, security, and governance across all IT environments.

Responsibilities

IT STRATEGY & LEADERSHIP

  • Develop and execute the organization’s IT strategy aligned with business goals and operational priorities
  • Lead enterprise-wide technology transformation and modernization initiatives
  • Provide strategic direction on technology investments, digital capabilities, and IT innovation
  • Partner with executive leadership and business stakeholders to identify technology-driven opportunities
  • Establish and enforce IT governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality


ENTERPRISE APPLICATIONS & DIGITAL SOLUTIONS

  • Oversee the full lifecycle management of enterprise applications and digital platforms
  • Ensure systems are scalable, secure, stable, and aligned with evolving business requirements
  • Lead solution planning, architecture reviews, implementation, and optimization initiatives
  • Drive systems integration, automation, and digital enablement programs across the organization
  • Ensure proper management of application performance, availability, and technology currency
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions that improve business performance


INFRASTRUCTURE, OPERATIONS & SECURITY

  • Oversee IT infrastructure operations including cloud platforms, networks, servers, databases, and end-user computing
  • Ensure high availability, resiliency, disaster recovery, and business continuity readiness
  • Lead cybersecurity initiatives and ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee incident management, problem management, change management, and operational support processes
  • Monitor IT operational KPIs, SLAs, and overall service delivery performance


PROJECT, VENDOR & STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT

  • Lead large-scale IT projects and enterprise technology implementations
  • Manage relationships with vendors, system integrators, consultants, and service providers
  • Negotiate contracts, monitor SLAs, and evaluate vendor performance
  • Collaborate closely with business units to prioritize initiatives and manage delivery expectations
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective execution of technology programs and operational initiatives


PEOPLE MANAGEMENT & ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

  • Lead and mentor cross-functional IT teams across applications, infrastructure, support, and project delivery
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and customer service excellence
  • Drive capability development, succession planning, and continuous learning within the IT organization
  • Promote knowledge sharing and adoption of best practices across teams


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
  • At least 10 years of experience in IT, with a minimum of 5 years in senior managerial or leadership roles
  • Proven experience managing enterprise applications, infrastructure, and large-scale IT operations
  • Strong background in digital transformation, systems integration, and enterprise technology strategy
  • Experience in cloud technologies, cybersecurity, IT governance, and service management frameworks
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, enterprise architecture, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills
  • Experience handling multi-site or large-scale business environments is an advantage
