Sizanid Staffing is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Legal to lead the company's legal function across the Philippines and Latin America as we continue to scale globally. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in corporate and commercial law, international employment law, contract management, corporate governance, data privacy, and cross-border business operations within multinational organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all legal matters, including corporate governance, commercial contracts, compliance, employment law, litigation, and regulatory affairs.
  • Lead and manage the legal function, providing strategic direction, guidance, and mentorship to legal team members.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of legal agreements, including client, vendor, partnership, employment, and service contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards across all jurisdictions where the company operates.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain legal policies, compliance frameworks, and risk management procedures.
  • Manage relationships with external legal counsel, regulatory agencies, and government authorities.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and advise stakeholders on potential business impacts.
  • Support the filing, maintenance, and administration of corporate records, registrations, licenses, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Human Resources and Internal Audit teams on investigations involving employee complaints, policy violations, and compliance-related matters.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD), Bachelor of Laws (LLB), or equivalent legal degree.
  • Licensed attorney in the Philippines or a Latin American jurisdiction.
  • 8–10 years of progressive legal experience, including significant leadership in a corporate environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of corporate, commercial, employment, and regulatory law.
  • Proven experience advising executive leadership and managing complex legal matters in a business environment.
  • Strong expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, risk management, and corporate governance.
  • Experience working within multinational organizations and supporting cross-border operations is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to influence decision-making across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience within staffing, recruitment, outsourcing, or professional services industries is preferred.
  • Familiarity with international employment laws, Employer of Record (EOR) arrangements, and remote workforce management is preferred.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations, including GDPR and other global privacy frameworks is preferred.
