Full Stack Architect

As a Full Stack Architect, you will lead application, integration, and infrastructure-level analysis across a mission-critical enterprise environment, helping identify systemic performance, stability, and operability issues across the full stack.

You will conduct cross-layer correlation across legacy monolithic applications, database dependencies, runtime environments, and hybrid infrastructure components to uncover structural constraints, hidden coupling, and root causes that affect resilience and performance.

What You’ll Do and How You’ll Succeed

• Lead end-to-end analysis across the application, integration, database, and infrastructure layers to identify systemic performance and stability issues.
• Perform cross-layer correlation of runtime behaviour, application-to-database interactions, and operational bottlenecks.
• Analyse legacy monolithic application architectures and assess tightly coupled application-to-database designs.
• Review and troubleshoot Oracle Forms and Reports runtime environments in live or production-like settings.
• Conduct non-intrusive code pattern and runtime behaviour analysis across legacy application components.
• Assess integration dependencies across upstream and downstream systems, including DB links, APIs, batch files, and direct query patterns.
• Identify hidden dependencies, structural constraints, and coupling points that limit optimisation options within defined guardrails.
• Evaluate performance-sensitive paths, maintainability concerns, and dependency risks across the application stack.
• Work closely with database and infrastructure specialists to connect findings across all layers and support evidence-based root cause analysis.
• Contribute to implementation-ready recommendations by linking findings to risk, dependency, reversibility, and operational constraints.

Experience

• You have hands-on experience analysing legacy monolithic application architectures.
• You have experience assessing tightly coupled application-to-database environments in enterprise production settings.
• You have reviewed and troubleshot Oracle Forms and Reports runtime environments.
• You have experience conducting non-intrusive runtime or code pattern analysis in production or highly constrained environments.
• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails components is important where relevant to the current stack.

Technical Expertise

• You have strong working knowledge of legacy enterprise application stacks that include Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Ruby on Rails, PHP, and J2EE.
• You understand application-to-database coupling in environments built on Oracle 10g.
• You can assess integration patterns including DB links, APIs, batch file interfaces, and direct query dependencies.
• You are comfortable working across hybrid environments spanning on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
• You understand the behaviour and risks of legacy support environments involving technologies such as Oracle Forms, Struts, CodeIgniter 1.0, Java 1.4, Apache 1.3, CentOS 6, and Red Hat 4 where relevant to application stability, maintainability, and security exposure.
• You can assess batch processing behaviour, dependency sequencing, and runtime bottlenecks across application workflows.
• You can connect application findings with infrastructure considerations such as compute, memory, storage, network latency, monitoring maturity, backup, and disaster recovery posture.
