Looking for a hands-on role in the aviation industry? 1Aviation is hiring Ramp Equipment Operators to join our fast-growing team in Zamboanga. This is your chance to work behind the scenes at the airport and help ensure smooth, safe, and efficient aircraft ground operations.

What Does a Ramp Equipment Operator Do?

As a Ramp Equipment Operator, you'll be responsible for operating Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and performing critical tasks related to aircraft turnaround, baggage and cargo handling, catering, and passenger services. Your work helps ensure on-time flight departures while maintaining safety and efficiency on the ramp.

Key Responsibilities

• Position Ground Support Equipment (GSE) at the aircraft parking bay at least 15 minutes before aircraft arrival
• Tow baggage and cargo dollies between aircraft, warehouse, and build-up areas
• Operate GSE such as tow tractors, forklifts, belt loaders, and air stairs
• Conduct 360-degree safety checks and brake tests before and after equipment use
• Load and unload baggage and cargo safely and efficiently within airline-prescribed turnaround times
• Handle special cargo, including live animals, dangerous goods, and heavy or oversized items
• Install stanchions and divider nets before cargo door closure
• Marshal ground equipment and communicate with the aircraft servicing team using headsets
• Follow all airport safety procedures and company operating standards
• Clean, secure, and return equipment to its designated parking area after use
• Assist with cabin cleaning and passenger boarding support when required
  
  

Qualifications

• High School or Senior High School graduate
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual work in a fast-paced environment
• Holder of a valid Professional Driver's License (Codes 1, 2, and 3)
• Preferably with at least one (1) year of professional driving experience
• Experience operating forklifts, man-lifts, or other Ground Support Equipment is an advantage
• Safety-oriented, dependable, and able to work well in a team
