Position: Engineering Head

Job Summary: The role leads engineering and facilities management operations, ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and continuous operation of all building systems and critical infrastructure. It oversees maintenance programs, vendor performance, and capital projects while ensuring full compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards. The position drives cost optimization, asset lifecycle management, and operational excellence through performance monitoring and strategic planning. It also leads engineering teams and champions sustainability, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives across all facilities.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Engineering & Technical Management
• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and reliability of all building systems (MEPF, fire protection, BMS, elevators, generators, chillers, etc.).
• Ensure preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs are effectively planned and executed.
• Lead root-cause analysis and resolution of major equipment failures and facilities incidents.
• Review and approve engineering designs, technical specifications, and method statements for facilities-related projects.
• Facilities Operations Support
• Provide engineering leadership in daily facilities operations across company-owned or managed sites.
• Ensure minimal downtime and uninterrupted operation of critical facilities and utilities.
• Support refurbishment, expansion, fit-out, and capital improvement projects.
• Compliance, Safety & Risk Management
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, building codes, environmental regulations, and local authority standards.
• Enforce occupational health, safety, and emergency preparedness programs.
• Act as technical lead during audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews.
• Develop and maintain risk assessments, contingency plans, and disaster recovery support for facilities.
• People & Team Leadership
• Lead, mentor, and develop engineering managers, supervisors, and technical staff.
• Define roles, performance standards, and training plans for engineering teams.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Prepare and manage engineering OPEX and CAPEX budgets.
• Optimize lifecycle cost of building assets through proper maintenance and replacement planning.
• Review and approve vendor quotations, contracts, and variation orders.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for cost, uptime, and service quality.
• Vendor & Contractor Management
• Manage outsourced service providers and contractors (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
• Ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) and KPIs are met.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and compliance checks.
• Strategy & Continuous Improvement
• Develop engineering strategies aligned with FMG and business objectives.
• Implement energy efficiency, sustainability, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Drive standardization of procedures, documentation, and best practices across sites.
