The Cebu Cybersecurity Manager is responsible for leading and advancing Xerox's cybersecurity capabilities within the Cebu Global Capability Centre, in alignment with the global Xerox Cybersecurity strategy. This role ensures the protection of enterprise systems, data, and digital assets through direct leadership of the 24/7/365 Security Operations Center (SOC), and by overseeing and mentoring team members across security architecture and engineering, vulnerability management, threat intelligence, client security, and governance, risk, and compliance — in close collaboration with global Xerox Cybersecurity leaders and stakeholders.

This is a critical leadership position responsible for driving maturity, operational excellence, and scalability across cybersecurity services that support a complex, always-on global technology environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Cebu Site Operational & People Leadership / Mentorship

  • Serve as the primary on-site leadership presence for the Cebu SOC, acting as the first point of escalation for operational, personnel, and facility-related issues during all shifts.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Cebu cybersecurity team, including performance management, site meetings, and team engagement.
  • Execute and localize the global Xerox cybersecurity strategy, aligning local initiatives with global priorities, governance structures, and operating models.
  • Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and automation across Cebu site cybersecurity operations.
  • Represent Cebu in global forums, audits, and leadership reviews, and ensure adoption of global initiatives within the site team.
  • Collaborate closely with global cybersecurity leaders, IT teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Manage site-level staffing activities including scheduling, shift coverage planning, and coordination with HR on recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding of SOC analysts.

2. Security Operations Center (SOC) & Incident Handling

**Primary Day-to-Day Operational Responsibility**

  • Oversee day-to-day 24/7/365 SOC operations including threat monitoring, detection, and incident handling.
  • Ensure effective incident response processes, including investigation, containment, and post-incident reviews.
  • Maintain and improve SOC incident response plans and playbooks.
  • Coordinate with global Cybersecurity Incident Response Team (CSIRT) members teams to ensure 24/7/365 coverage, standardized practices, and effective and timely escalations.
  • Establish and maintain a SOC quality assurance program, including regular review of incident tickets, analyst workflows, and adherence to established playbooks and escalation procedures.
  • Define, track, and report on key SOC performance metrics (e.g., Mean Time to Detect, Mean Time to Respond, false positive rates, SLA compliance) to senior leadership and relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct periodic audits of incident documentation and post-incident reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and actionable lessons learned.
  • Identify performance trends and analyst skill gaps through QA findings and translate them into targeted coaching, training, or process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain dashboards and recurring reporting cadences (daily, weekly, monthly) that provide leadership with clear visibility into SOC operational health, threat landscape trends, and open risk items.
  • Ensure quality and consistency across global CSIRT teams by standardizing QA criteria and reporting templates across all sites and shifts.

3. Security Architecture and Engineering, Vulnerability Management, Threat Intel, Client Security, and Governance, Risk, and Compliance

**Secondary People Leadership & Mentorship Responsibility**

  • Provide thought leadership, mentorship and personnel leadership in these areas, while collaborating with the functional Xerox Cybersecurity leaders and stakeholders in these areas to ensure delivery.
  • Address operational concerns, team
  • Strengthen Cebu site employee engagement on security policies, processes, security awareness, and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field

Experience

  • Minimum 8+ years in cybersecurity roles
  • At least 3+ years in a SOC leadership/managerial role
  • Experience working in a global or matrixed organization

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Strong proficiency in:
    • Security operations, incident handling and response, and threat detection
    • Leading a 24/7/365 Security Operations Center (SOC) team and operations
    • Leveraging AI capabilities to achieve the art of the possible, streamline cybersecurity capabilities and move at the speed of AI to defend technology
  • General proficiency in or knowledge of:
    • Security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS)
    • GRC management
    • Cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), security architecture and engineering, and vulnerability management
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

Certifications (Preferred)

  • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
  • Other relevant security operations, incident handling & response certifications
