Role Overview
The Consumables Management Student Intern role provides operational and analytical support to the Consumables Management team while undergoing structured on‑the‑job training. This role is designed to build foundational skills aligned with the Consumables Management Specialist position by supporting reporting, order monitoring, partner communications, and operational studies.
The Student Intern will work closely with Consumables Specialists and Operations Leads to ensure timely data availability, operational visibility, and process efficiency, while gaining hands‑on exposure to consumables management processes and tools.
Key Responsibilities
Operational & Reporting Support
- Generate and maintain operational reports such as:
- Back Orders
- Open Orders
- Service Request (SR) Exceptions
- CS-CX Model Governance
- CFA Governance
- Other ad‑hoc operational reports as required
- Ensure reports are accurate, timely, and aligned with daily operational needs
Inventory & Stock Support
- Assist in stock availability checks using SAP, under guidance from the Consumables Management team
- Support validation of alternate parts and availability as needed
Administrative & Coordination Support
- Manage booking and scheduling of conference rooms for team meetings, training sessions, and team activities
- Provide basic administrative coordination support to the operations team
Ticket, Emails & Workflow Support
- Assign owners to SNOW (ServiceNow) tickets based on defined routing guidelines
- Support ticket tracking and status visibility for the operations team
- Review unanswered emails and assign to the specialist
Process Improvement & Analytics (Project)
- Support and conduct time and motion studies as part of headcount (HC) modeling and optimization projects
- Assist in gathering, documenting, and organizing data to support workload analysis and productivity assessments
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of business operations or data handling
- Willingness to learn enterprise tools (e.g., SAP, reporting dashboards, ticketing systems)
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Listens actively and effectively
