Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves designing, coding, and improving software components tailored to meet unique business requirements. The role includes collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure solutions are scalable and efficient, while adapting to evolving project needs and utilizing contemporary development methodologies to maintain high performance and quality standards.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
• Responsible for team decisions.
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Facilitate effective communication and coordination among team members to achieve project goals.
• Mentor and support team members to enhance their skills and productivity.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize development processes and outcomes.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Required Skill: Expert proficiency in Cobol Mainframe.
• Additional Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Micro Focus LoadRunner.
• Strong knowledge of mainframe environments and batch processing.
• Experience in debugging and performance tuning of mainframe applications.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
• Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Cobol Mainframe.
• This position is based at our Manila office.
