Chief General Accountant

We are seeking a Chief General Accountant to lead our accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. This role is pivotal in managing the accounting function, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring efficient financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and month-end/year-end closings.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
  • Ensure timely filing of government reports and compliance with BIR, SEC, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering professional growth and high performance.
  • Monitor financial performance, identify risks, and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and ensure timely payments to vendors.
  • Process payments, including checks, electronic transfers, and other methods, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payment terms.
  • Ensure all invoice processing and payments comply with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to streamline and improve invoice processing and accounts payable workflows.
  • Provide support and address financial queries related to procurement and payment processes.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete, organized, and compliant with internal and external requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accountancy; CPA license is an advantage
  • Minimum of 45 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

Working Schedule

Monday to Saturday 8am to 5pm
