The Cashier is responsible for accurately processing sales transactions, handling cash collections, maintaining sales records, and providing excellent customer service. The role also supports store operations, inventory activities, and the maintenance of store appearance while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Cash Handling & Transaction Processing

  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain and update daily sales logbooks and transaction records.
  • Count, tally, and safeguard daily cash collections.
  • Ensure proper handling of cash, receipts, and other company assets.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures for asset protection and loss prevention.

Customer Service & Sales Support

  • Provide excellent customer service and a positive checkout experience.
  • Assist customers with inquiries, payments, and after-sales concerns.
  • Support store sales goals and contribute to overall sales attainment.
  • Recommend strategies to help move slow-moving merchandise.
  • Assist sales associates in closing sales when needed.

Store Operations & Image Maintenance

  • Maintain professional grooming and wear the prescribed company uniform.
  • Help ensure store cleanliness, organization, and proper merchandise display.
  • Support visual merchandising and store presentation standards.

Inventory & Administrative Support

  • Participate in monthly and quarterly inventory counts.
  • Attend store and company meetings as required.
  • Perform administrative and operational tasks assigned by the Store Supervisor or Manager.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
  • Foster positive working relationships with colleagues and assist in onboarding new employees.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school graduate, vocational graduate, or college level; a degree is an advantage.
  • Experience using Barter system is preferred
  • Experience in cashiering, retail sales, or customer service is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of cash handling and sales transactions.
  • Honest, detail-oriented, and customer-focused.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willing to work on weekends, holidays, and shifting schedules.
