Business Analyst

Join our Commercial team as a Business Analyst in Stellenbosch or Plattekloof, where you will build and govern the commercial reporting, forecasting and commission calculations that the entire business depends on.

This role is ideal for an analytical specialist with a strong command of BI tools and SQL who is ready to own the single source of truth in a high-growth telecoms environment.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain daily, weekly and monthly commercial reports and dashboards, delivered to an agreed cadence
• Hold and govern the single commercial data set, run data quality checks, and ensure Exco and regional numbers always reconcile
• Produce and run the commercial forecast and apply attribution rules accurately, eliminating double-counting across national and regional figures
• Turn data questions from function heads into clear, usable analysis that supports decision-making across the commercial line
• Map, document and improve commercial processes in collaboration with function heads
• Own commission calculations across the business, applying agreed rules accurately, on time, and keeping the logic fully documented and auditable
  
  

What You'll Need

• A relevant tertiary qualification in data, analytics, statistics, commerce or a related field
• SQL or BI certification advantageous
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a commercial, business or data analyst role, ideally in telecommunications, internet services or a subscription business
• Strong command of BI and reporting tools and SQL or equivalent, working with a data warehouse or data lake
• Forecasting and analytical capability, fluent in commercial metrics such as ARPU, cost of acquisition, churn and take-up
• Accuracy and a discipline for data quality and reconciliation
• Experience running commission or incentive calculations with the discipline to keep them auditable
• Business process mapping and improvement experience
• Ability to present numbers clearly to non-technical audiences
